Skillman has produced an E-book that comprise a repertory of researches on competences and skills needs on robotics for the Transport Sector.
The UK partners, led by Jaguar Land Rover, have chosen to focus on this area in order to understand the development of skills solutions. This will enable the consortium to understand
more completely the skills gaps in Robotics and develop a qualification which addresses these gaps in manufacturing industries.
The purpose of this first E-Book is to support the delivery of the Skillman Project by drawing on published research and contributions by Consortium Partners in order to further understand the challenges faced by the application of Robotics in modern-day manufacturingand the impact this has on skills. It is focused on making available information to relevant stakeholders which will be updated and developed in the course of project delivery.
This e-book will examine how robotics are currently applied in industry and the challenges automated methods of working present before considering how the SKILLMAN Project itself may provide solutions for the questions posed.
