In June 2021, the Skillman Alliance strengthened its cooperation with ITECH (VET School ITECH Elbinsel Wilhelmsburg) by signing a new Memorandum of Understanding. This new cooperation is aimed at establishing a mutually beneficial collaboration with the ultimate goal of contributing to the development and promotion of both parties’ activities.

ITECH provides high-quality VET in dual or trial form on different levels from Level 4 to level 6 (Bachelor’s degree). In detail the following professions of dual VET are offered:

• Chemical Technician
• Electronics technician for automation technology
• IT professions, IT specialists with different training focus

In addition, students attend the school who successfully complete their training preparation or obtain a higher education qualification such as the Fachhochschulreife (Entrance Qualification for Universities of Applied Sciences) and the Abitur (University Entrance Qualification). ITECH has a large and still growing staff of about 80 teachers as well as about 10 colleagues in the school office, in administration, and in our IT support. We see ourselves as part of this diversity and contribute our individual backgrounds to the school’s daily routine.

The new MoU will bring benefits to both sides. In particular, in coherence with their objectives, will be actively involved in and contribute to promoting innovative solutions in their respective fields of skills development, education, and training; events, presentations, and international projects. New synergies and cooperation will be established within the framework activities owned by the Skillman Transnational Platform of Centres of Vocational Excellence and by ITECH.
