The research on the state of the Advanced Manufactory carried out by the partners of the Skillman consortium under the coordination of Prof. Renzo Salimbeni (CNR) has been presented in a video.
Dr. Giovanni Crisonà (CSCS) introduces three main blocks of the work which includes an analysis of the economic situation in the transport sector, a repertory on the state of the art of the latest technologies and an investigation on the technologies expected in the future.
Lightweight materials, Internet of Things applied to industrial production, robotics sensitivity and interconnected vehicles are just some of the many topics covered by the study.
The work also offers an interesting view on the transformative potential of innovative technologies on which depends the development of the advanced manufactory industry as well as the expectations regarding cutting edge sectors such as additive and composite manufactoring, nanotechnology, biotechnology and Artificial Intelligence.
